HCAS Connect Café
Faith & Outreach at the World Cup
Friday, May 1
4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET
Join us for a special HCAS Connect Café conversation exploring how global sport becomes a platform for gospel witness.
The FIFA World Cup is one of the largest and most-watched sporting events in the world. Held every four years, this summer’s tournament will take place across Mexico, Canada, and the United States from June 11–July 19. With an estimated 5–6 billion people engaging with the World Cup globally, the opportunity for impact is unprecedented.

Amid the excitement and global attention, an important question remains: will the Church seize this moment to point people to something of eternal significance—a victory beyond the competition?
Join our May HCAS Connect Café guests, Isaac Nelson and Nicolas Haddad from Athletes in Action (AIA), to learn how AIA is leveraging the World Cup to reach 1 million people in person and 100 million digitally with the gospel - and how you can be part of this effort.
The evening will conclude with audience Q&A and prayer.

About our speakers

Isaac Nelson serves as Special Operations Leader for Athletes in Action Global, and President of Jesus Loves You Ball. He is passionate about helping the global Church leverage sport to build disciple-making movements and reach unreached communities as we pursue fulfilling the Great Commission.
Nicolas Haddad was born and raised in the countryside of Lebanon through civil war and ongoing strife, Nicolas’ life was not an easy one. The Lord drew Nicolas to Himself even as a young boy when his older sister became a Christian and began to speak of her newfound faith. After putting his faith in Christ in his late teens, he sensed God’s call to full-time ministry – to invest in His Kingdom which will last forever - while serving on numerous mission trips reaching Muslims in the south of Spain. Now Nicolas serves as regional coordinator for North Africa, Middle East and Central Asia.
