"Empires Rise and Fall: Reading Ezra in Critical Times"
As we face the close of election season, Christians must consider their political theology. In this talk, we turn to the book of Ezra for ancient wisdom, ever new. Ezra traces the stories of the construction of the second temple in Jerusalem and the eponymous prophet’s mission to that holy city, projects surprisingly empowered and equipped by gentile kings.
Join us for a talk from Fuller professor Old Testament scholar Dr. Kyong-Jin Lee, followed by Q&A, and a brief organizational update about the Harvard Christian Alumni Society.

She is currently pursuing a PhD in international relations at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
She is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, Society for Old Testament Study, Society of Christian Ethics, Societas Ethica, Catholic Biblical Association, Association for Political Theory, International Political Science Association, and International Studies Association.
