Dr. Richter is the author of Stewards of Eden, a widely respected work examining biblical theology and the environment. Her scholarship brings clarity, depth, and practical insight to this important conversation.


About our speaker
01-headshotDr. Sandra Richter is the Robert H. Gundry Chair of Biblical Studies at Westmont College. She earned her PhD in Hebrew Bible from Harvard University and is widely known for her scholarship on Deuteronomy and the Deuteronomistic History, as well as her work at the intersection of archaeology, linguistics, and Scripture.

She is the author of The Epic of Eden and The Stewards of Eden, which brings together more than a decade of research and engagement on biblical environmental theology. Dr. Richter also serves on the NIV Committee for Biblical Translation and is a sought-after speaker committed to the life and witness of the Church.
